Benefits of Going Outside!

Do you ever feel bored or don’t know what to do when you’re inside? Well, you’re in luck! The great outdoors are waiting for you!! Spending time outside is really good for you and here’s why:


It makes you stronger! Running, jumping, climbing, walking, and playing outside uses your muscles in all sorts of ways. You build stronger bones, a healthier heart, and you sleep better at night! 


You’re getting Vitamin D! When the sun touches your skin, your body makes something called Vitamin D. Vitamin D is important for making your bones stronger, helps support your immune system, and even helps reduce cavities! 


It can improve your mood! Do you ever feel sad, angry, or grumpy? Well, going outside can fix that! Nature helps your brain calm down and feel happier. Even a short walk in the park can make you feel more cheerful and relaxed. Going outside is a super easy and fast way to improve your mood!


Your eyes will thank you! When you watchTV or look at a screen for a long time, does it ever hurt your eyes? When you go outside and look at faraway trees, clouds, hills, and buildings, your eyes get a much-needed rest and stretch. Your eye strain goes away and helps keep your eyes healthy for the rest of your life! 


You can make new friends and memories! Outside is where adventures happen! You can explore, build things, discover bugs and birds, and play games with others.
